Instructions
Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the chicken broth over them.
Add the can of diced tomatoes with green chilies, along with the softened cream cheese, to the slow cooker.
Sprinkle the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the mixture.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and stir it into the melty queso sauce.
Warm the taco shells or tortillas as per package instructions.
Assemble the tacos by placing a generous scoop of the queso chicken mixture into each shell.
Top with your choice of fresh ingredients, such as sliced avocado, cilantro, diced onions, sour cream, and a squeeze of lime.
Notes
Serve tacos on a decorative platter, garnished with extra lime wedges and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro for a fresh look.
